Two recent self portraits. These most definitely qualify as my nomakeupselfie(s).
It seems like everyone has something to say about this new phase of photo updates, most of it negative. I don’t recall anyone bombarding the men about vanity in November when the plague of discarded-toothbrush-tashes hit Facebook.
On my feed, and my feed alone - women seem to be nothing but supportive of their fellow female’s uploads. “You look beautiful.”, “Your skin is amazing!” - Whereas the indirect statuses from the men have been uploaded in bulk, citing ugly bitches, demands that bare-faced women put it away and other such hateful, inexcusable statements. Meanwhile using any mocking they received during Movember as justification for the “retaliation”.
Being mocked for having a novelty charity moustache is not the same as being shamed for taking a day off from concealing your face, your flaws and yourself.
This charity event has revealed who the truly ugly are, and it’s not the women in the photos.
